Complete heater set up for sale, restored

5 Attachment(s)
I have for sale a complete heater set up that was removed from my frame off restored 72 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban. This unit was removed to make room for factory A/C. Everything has been cleaned and painted right down to the hardware. The inner sheet metal pieces do have some scratches from removal and storage. The outer case is one of the cleanest originals I have ever seen. Control is very nice with only minor pitting in the chrome. The control has the strong arm lever conversion and a new switch. Wiring harness is very nice but the plug has been melted around the power socket,it still functioned correctly. The defrost duct to the right vent is damaged but usable and the left duct is brand new. The non A/C glove box is included if you want it. The firewall insulation is also included and is also new. The unit will be further disassembled to make shipping easier unless you want it the way it is shown in the photos. As stated this is a restored unit that was in a restored truck. More pictures available upon request. $125 obo plus shipping

Will get an estimate tomorrow. Not sure of box size or weight. Hopefully wont be too expensive, not real heavy.

Looks like 64.40 shipped UPS ground. Not heavy but box ended up oversized even with heater disassembled.

I'd like to take it but want to confirm the issue with the burned Plug. Exactly what is burned, and does it still work ok? How did it get burned?

Re: Complete heater set up for sale, restored

The burned plug is a common thing on these trucks. The plastic plug itself is melted around the power wire. This is the pyramid shapped plug that goes on the fan switch. My guess is that the wire gets hot when the resistor for the blower motor goes bad. This heater assembly worked perfectly when remover. New pluge are available in the aftermarket. I know that the switch is new and I think I also replaced the resistor.

Heck yeah we need heat here! It dropped precipitiously and it's now 44 degrees. We've got the National Guard coming in to help out!

Yes, I am buying it and we are making final arrangements.
