Wheel Size and offset

I know this has to be covered here somewhere, but I have searched and searched. I've tried just using a tape measurer and figuring it out, but i'm uncertain.
I have a 64' that i'm building. I have some 22's with 6" backspacing plus 1.25" adapters. That puts my backspacing up to 7.25". I think the wheels are 9" wide.
I'll be laying frame with a dropmember. I'm also hoping to use a 71' rear axle so it's a little wider.
I already know how much work is involved and I'm capable of doing it. I'm just wondering with this setup if my wheels will be inward of the edge of the hood or not.

I'd just bolt them up, but the truck is completely torn apart and the frame is on the chassis table gettin the notch, etc etc.

I would put in a question to nathan at porterbuilt (dropmember) he is a board member here...
I believe that the DM is narrowed a bit to account for turning and wide tires.
there is a chance that dino (dinos63) might know, he has a few DM'ed trucks...

Subtract the 1.25" spacer from the 6" BS of the wheel,... puts your backspace at 4.75",... not 7.25".

Your right about the backspacing, my bad. Yes the DM is narrower. I was hoping someone would know the answer. I'll just have to do some more work with the tape measurer and figure it out. Problem is that everything is apart. If I had another truck to take some measurements I'd be fine.
