one piece side windows
 

Does anyone offer a kit to remove the vent window and have one piece side glass? Anyone with experience in doing it before? I've seen some 67-72's with it, and it looks cool in my opinion. Lots of electric window kits that I have found, may have to do some fabricating, and get new pieces of glass made up.

i would like these as well. the trucks looks better with a 1 piece window IMO

Agreed. They leak air, are too loud when you open them going down the road, and are easy to break into. Ive used clear silicone to seal them, wiped around the edges, so you can't see it. On the next style trucks I've seen with it, it really cleans up the look, and takes me a second to notice the vent windows gone.

I saw an article some time back and what they had to do was basically cut a large hole where the regulator is now, cut it with the intention of returning it where it came from in order to get to the next step, it's because if you look into the door on a 64-66 you will notice a large bulge at the bottom front of the door, this will have to be removed in order for the one piece windows to be installed along with the front channel being installed there. BTW I have seen where this makes the door flimsy.

Yikes, that is a lot of work, fabrication, time, and a good chance to screw it up. I think I'll keep my wing vents, they help cool me off in the summer.....and it reminds me of when I used to smoke......................great place to flick ones ashes.....

Thanks for the tip guys, pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The article in Classic Trucks on the No Limit kit is very good. Plenty of photo illistrations and explains it in detail. They have figured out how to keep the window in there solid when it is partway up or down. There is some cutting, welding and fabricating to install, but after the rust repair I have already done on the cab mounts, floor, rockers, cab corners, etc., etc., I think I can do it. It takes some courage to restore one of these trucks, as we all know. I think the worst part of rust repair is all the drilling, cutting, grinding, air chiseling, and the general foul language involved with getting the old crap out. Ever notice the doors are almost symetrical? The left door looks like it would fit right into the right door opening. Thanks again for the tip.
