new coys?

I know this subject has been beat to death, i have done searches and read all the threads i could find on it and get conflicting info. so the question, has coy fixed the fitment issues on their c-5s? some posts said they were working on a revision that will fit 67-72 trucks without mods? does anyone know if this is true? i have a 71 lwb thanks

What I love about this site is that almost no one responds with the wrong answer. That's rare on the web. So, if I post a question, I'm greatfull for a ton of views. Even it there is no response. ;)

I have 18's on my 71 lwb and no issues with fitment. I think some of the problems were from upgrading to disk brakes from drums on 67-70. I could be wrong. 71/72 never been a problem.

I thought i read that the center hub was too small and had to mill down spindle and the center cap would not fit without flattening the dust cover? maybe i'm thinking of boss 338's ?

Thats the boss 338's that you need to mill down the hub. Im not sure about the c-5's...

at one time Coy's had a similar problem because I made several sets of center cap spacers for some members here that allowed them to use the center cap without machining the center of the wheel.

well i got a reply to the letter i sent to coys, he said that they fit all stock rotors and that on hd rotors and cpp rotors a spacer is required for the center cap, because thoes spindles are taller. so it looks like new coys for me!!!!
