TH400 to Transfer Case Adapter

Does anyone know where I can find a TH400 to NP205 transfer case adpater. I have a TH400 that I want to install in my 1972 Cheyenne 3/4 ton 4x4 but I need an adapter for the TH400 to bolt to the transfer case. If anyone knows please let me know where I can find one. Thanks!!!

Re: TH400 to Transfer Case Adapter

there r 2 different th400 205 case a figure 8 like our trucks and a round 6 in 85 and newer trucks ,,, if u have a th350 now and just wast to install a th400 u will have to take your case out and have it modified.. the 400 case uses a biger input bearing and this is what you have to have machined in the case to change over to a 400 case ,,, ive seen the input shafts for 140 and the adapters for 200 ,, (a little pricey if you ask me) I would try to find a case allready set up 4 a 400 ,, I think it would be a little cheaper but thats just my 2 cents,,, pm me if u need help finding parts or more info ,,,, KING

Re: TH400 to Transfer Case Adapter

Yes, it is correct as long as you have 84 and older t-case. Their description says 71-85 which is incorrect. 85 and later, as all ready mentioned is the 6 hole round pattern. Just for gp the NP205 was not used behind the TH400 till 1980.
