Steering Column

Does anyone if the steering column in our trucks can be replaced with a column that has wiper and dimmer switch on the column. If so what year vehicle should I use as a donor. My truck is a 83

85-87 bolt in just change the wiring. dont remember about the 84

Wut did u mean by dimmer? My 85 has the wipers and cruise control on it. Am I missing something?

My dimmer for headlights is in the floor and my wiper switch is on the dash. I would like to have both on the column along with intermittent wipers

I know the mounting is the same but how different is the wiring?
On a side not I have an 86 that I want to change the turnsignal stalk on and I cant figure out which one I need.

My 84 custom deluxe has the wiper & dimmer switch on the coluum.
