1971 Blazer - accelerator cable match

I put a new block (a crate engine from blueprint - BP3550CTC1) in a 71 blazer. The accelorator cable is too long from firewall to carb. Any ideas?

Lokar makes some universal throttle cables that you can cut to length http://www.lokar.com/interior_pages/tc_kd.htm
I've used this on my truck with no problems.

they have two different styles of throttle cables short and long i believe you need the short cable cause your motor sits far back close to the fire wall and the long one is used for the motors that sit forward away from the firewall...
