Dana 60 lift question
Little embarassed to have to ask, but what is the best method of addressing the steering arm on a D60 front when lifting it? I have a 4 inch lift that came out of another truck, still looks new and includes shocks. Just had to buy all new u-bolts, which cost more than I paid for the srings, blocks and shocks. I realized I didn't get a steering arm. Checking around and found they have recurved steering arms, blocks to lift the stock steering arm, dropped pitman arms or s-shaped drag links.
So, with a 4 inch lift I'm assuming I will need to do something. Any ideas what is the best, and what is the cheapest? I've done an arm on a 3/4 ton dana44 before, but it looks like the 60 is different. |
Re: Dana 60 lift question
You need a spacer that goes between the steering arm and knuckle. Kit is about $75 or so, depending where you get it.

Re: Dana 60 lift question
thanks. that looks about like the cheapest way to accomplish the same thing. So it looks like you take the knuckle end off, put the block on then bolt the arm back down on top of it, right?
