Need Help with vin
 

Alright here is the deal, I traded my 4 wheeler for this truck i've been restoring and i don't have a title for it. I lost the vin plate on the dash.....and i don't know what to do. The truck is not nor has never been in my name and the guy who i traded it with moved and i don't know where. I don't know his name cuz it was so long ago. I have went through every nut and bolt on this truck and the only numbers i can find are on the top of the frame pass side. they are ..................C7F316495...........can anyone help me with this?
