73-87 Roof Tops
Greetings...just found this site. I like it. I'll be back a lot.
Anyone know if cab roof tops for 73-87 pickups are in existence anywhere? My local GM dealer says they can't get them anymore. LMC truck doesn't have them. I'm trying to avoid cutting one off a doner cab. I'm redoing a '79 chevy 2wd lwb. Almost ready to paint until sanding the top revealed it looks like a golf ball and more work than I want to invest fixing. Thanks! |

Re: 73-87 Roof Tops
I agree with Bob..... But I gotta wonder which would actually be easier, Spreading mud and sanding or cutting-aligning-welding then spreading mud and sanding ?
BTW, Welcome Aboard !!! And we need pics of this project.... |

Re: 73-87 Roof Tops
Thanks for the input guys.... My friend had one redone by a dealer this year after a building fell on it. They said they ordered the last one in the country and it shipped in twisted in a broken crate. Had to use a donor.
Here's the before: http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...9Pickup001.jpg After it sat around half done for 3 years: http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...h_Picture1.jpg And getting it finshed now: http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1294977426 |
