I am new to the site? have a few questions about my new truck!
 

Ok so I got a 1986 sierra longbed 2wd the other day. It is a single cab. I believe it had a camper also orig. it has the 4.3 and the auto. I didn't know they made a single cab longbed 2wd with this motor and the 350 turbo trans? anyone got any info on it? how many were made? etc? gonna fix the motor and ride around in it. Just a good work horse.

Welcome from Cali you could get just about any engine/trans combo in any truck swb/lwb, std. cab/crew cab etc.

hmm I was just curious cause I have never seen another 4.3 longbed single cab. thanks for the info. I have never had a 2wd, or a longbed, or a 4.3 one lol.

The 4.3 V6 came out in 85 and was very popular in the S10's, ElCaminos and C10 trucks, as well as most other GM cars.

I had the 4.3 in an 85 GMC SWB I ordered new, I liked it, plenty of power and decent economy too.

i had an 86 2wd lwb with the 4.3. i hated the motor but lovveeddd the truck
