Tec questions

I have a 76 sierra classic with a 5.7L 350 and I am looking to buy a engine rebuild kit but I'm not sure what to go with. I don't know what Rod Bearing Undersize is, what Main Bearing Undersize is, what Piston and Ring Oversize is, or what is a good size or ratio is with any of that. Also do I need to have a valve relief on my pistons? If I replace the cam as well what should I be looking for in one?:gmc2:

Re: Tec questions

Ok, lots of questions that need more info to help. But my guess is your a green horn with motors. So my best advice is to have this moved to engine drive train section. Not that you won't be helped here, just that you will get more help their.

Re: Tec questions

You will not know your undersizes or the bore size for the rings and pistons till you tear it down and have the machine work done. Jay
