S100 Polishing Soap - Hubcap makeover

This is the way my hubcaps looked that I won on Ebay a few days ago. No dents whatsover but needed a serious cleaning.

After a few hours of elbow grease they look like this. Now I just have to take them to my local sign painter so he can repaint the black and paint the bowtie blue.

you can tape and paint yourself, then bake em in the oven for a bit.

yup...
spray can enamel will actually bake nicely.. like about 180 degrees or so for an hour.
actually you are just heating it, like a heated paint booth. it cures the paint quickly and seems to help it stick better.
great for small parts and brackets that you need to install soon.
I have had great results with hand painting details in hubcaps with model paint and a brush, then baking on- the brush marks flow out nice and it looks "enameled".
**
I saw one guy on a furum say to preheat oven to 350, then turn it off. put the parts in and keep them in there till the oven is cool.
**
edit: my experience is on chrome and stainless caps.... are those alum caps anodized? not sure if that makes a difference.

Are those going on a 67-72? Will the centers clear the rear axle hubs?

A 69'er.
If not I'll get a set of 1/4" spacers and go from there.
