Gauge cluster years

What year did the gauges change from mechanical oil pressure to electronic? Also amps to volts? I would like to change out my 77 cluster for a 79. I am also looking at a 75 Blazer that could use a new cluster.

Has some good photos and information on different year clusters. I know it focuses more on the tachometers for the years, but it has other info as well and will get you what you need to know I bet.

Re: Gauge cluster years

77 was the last year for the mechanical oil pressure gauge, and I think '74 or '75 was the last year for the amp gauge.
