cutting hole for 4 wheel drive in 2 wheel cab.

I am putting a 2 wheel drive ,low hump cab on a four wheel drive truck. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the messurement from the firewall,as to where I should cut the hole for the shifter. The truck has a big block, turbo 400 and a np 205 transfer case.

You can buy the hump itself.

Do you have the cab on the truck becuase I am pretty sure that you will have to put in a 4x4 high hump or run a body lift

i would buy the hump and cut the floor so that there is room for the bolts to bolt the new floor hump in. Im sure you can cut the floor and make your own but it wont work as well as the factory stuff and would prolly create a problem when installing the carpet or mat in the truck

The truck is an '86, to my truck don't have a bolt in hump.

My cab is settin on my frame, trans and transfer case is, with 2" of clearance.between trans and cab floor.

Get just the bolt in hump from a earlier truck and your good to go after cutting the floor. There is a indent where the hole gets cut from factory. That should be it...

i came across the same problem this past summer, what i ended up doing was measuring some common points in the cabs and marked it and cut it. no need to change out the hump

Did you use the bolt in hump for mesureing, or did you just measure from frame rail , firewall, back of cab?

i used the back of the cab, where the hump meets the firewall and where the sides of the hump met the floor. i dunno what the exact dimensions were i never wrote them down
