Did CCC Q-Jets Ever Appear on Squares?

Did later model square body trucks ever come with a CCC QuadraJet carb?

Thanks,
Ed

If you mean computer controlled, I believe they did come on the last of the California Emissions models right before fuel injection took over in '87.

My '86 had what looked like a computer controlled carb, and is often mistaken for one, but it was not.

Yes... mine does, and it's a California model

and it's all dialed into a check engine light for emissions... It's silly here how the smog reg's go

got one in my 83. first year of them. also has the ESC distributor - really not a fun system to work on but it works now and will have to do till a motor swap and de-smog.

Re: Did CCC Q-Jets Ever Appear on Squares?

Yea if it only has the blue plug on top its technically NOT a CCC carb, That was only a plug to control the Dual volume Accelerator pump. it worked just like a regular Accl pump when cold, but after the engine warmed up the computer sent a signal to the carb to activate the Solenoid and cut the Volume of the pump chamber. then it wouldn't give as much gas when you where in stop and go type driving where you where on and off the gas alot. The two shown above have the Throttle position sensor that is the clear looking plug in front of the throttle linkage that is the easy way to tell. and those are CCC carbs.
