Motor instead of Horn

I love when people don't move when the light turns green and instead of using my horn I just give her a good ole rev and that gets everybody moving.

I'll tell you what, around here if you go when the light just turns green you are apt to get broad sided.

People around here are bad about running yellow/red lights.

Re: Motor instead of Horn

Had an aoogah horn on my first car, a '54 Ford. It had a 6-volt system and you could make it grunt by just bumping the button (on the dash).

Running red lights is something that people do more and more. I've seen cops roll through stop signs and give tickets to motorists who do the same.

My proposal is to eliminate flashing red lights and stop signs, particularly at 4-way stop intersections. Replace those flashing red lights and stop signs with yield signs on all four corners, then sit back and watch. With stop signs and lights, it's a pretty sure thing that at least one of them will stop. With yield signs on all four corners, it's a gamble as to who will actually stop. Should be interesting.

My city implemented a 5 second delay when the light turns red before the other turns green. This alone has cut down on crashes a lot.

I know what you guys mean about people racing the lights, It's bad enough when on 4 wheels it's even worse when I take my bike out,,, there are definately alot of "got their drivers license out of a cracker jack box" bad drivers out there.
I'ts kind of funny sometimes when you can tell the car in front of you is looking in the rear view mirror to see what that sound is and all they can see is a big ..s grille

As I was leaving work a few years ago, an on-duty CHP (friend of mine) was stopped in the road ahead of me, talking to another guy who was also leaving work. Small side street, no problem. I slipped it into neutral and revved it up. The cop responded by flipping on all his lights. :D

One night i was driving a friends WRX and he was on my quad ridding next to me and this crotch rocket flew in between us so i thought what they heck and caught up to him revved my motor then the bike bounced his off the rev limiter a few times then all of a sudden flashing lights were right behind him:lol:got him pulled over and the cop let me go, when my buddy caught up to me my face was blood shot red from laughing so hard:haha:. We both thought i was getting pulled over that night and i never drove that car again. People here all the time run red light its like a game... The other day there was one guy than went through it around 5-8 seconds after ours turned green and almost hit the lady in front of me:crazy:. I see cops all the time around here that flip there lights on go through a red then turn them off, should try to pull one over and give them a ticket;).

Parts around here in SoCal, especially the beach cities will ticket you for noise pollution.

I spent three miserable months living and working in Phoenix one winter. My first trip there, fresh off the plane, the guy training me in at the wheel. We were first in line at a stop light between the airport and Glendale. He says,
"When the light turns green, wait a sec and let thing settle down out there."

Saved my life at least twice.

Here in Fla.with the inception of red light cameras and a hefty fine in your mailbox I find more people slamming on thier brakes as soon as the light turns yellow.Dont get me wrong I still see people running red lights everyday but just not as often. Now you have to keep a further distance back from the 2010 camaro w/4 wheel disc and abs, because 4 wheel drum is no contest.

I try to hit people that run red lights, nothing like seeing a truck peeling out straigt at you to make you think twice about running a red net time
I might also do the same thing to someone I'm trying to let out into traffic is too busy talking on their phone or picking their nose to pull out.
