68 front disc conversion

I just did this conversion using 84 spindles with new calipers. I haven't connected to the master cylinder yet, and won't for a while because the truck's still in pieces. The inner pads fit nice with a good clip, but the outer pads just kinda flop around. Am I missing some hardware? or missing something else? thanks for any input.

If the piston is pushed all the way back, there may be some play in the pads until you put some fluid in the system. But it shouldn't be a ton of space. The caliper will also center itself when you bleed it.

The outer pads should have short tabs on each end that are used to locate the pad on the caliper. You can slightly tweak these tabs so that they're held in place slightly better.
