If a guy want to replace a I6 with a BBC, why wouldn't these stands work with the BBC engine pads ? Or will they?

I guess what I am saying is...what would be wrong with using the SBC towers and then using SBC engine mounts on a BBC. The holes on the engine are the same location and have the same bolt pattern.

Would that work?

A big block will bolt in with the small block towers.. BUT.. factory exhaust manifolds and any currently manufactured header will not clear the towers, if you look at the top of the big block mount in the picture you can see the "dip" for exhaust clearance, the only way to use small block towers is to build your own set of headers from scratch..
