clutch linkage
 

Anyone have pics of their clutch linkages at the frame and engine block? I have a V8 350 and the block appears to have two seperate holes for the ball stud to go in. I dont know which one to screw it in. Either one of them causes the z-bar of the linkage to go at an angle where it mount to the frame. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I can get some in the morning but my truck was originally an auto trans and the people that put the standard in did a sloppy job.

Your application must need the ball stud that is mounted on a flat bar where the bar bolts to the block using the two holes.

Are there any pictures of this flat bar that bolts to block for the ball stud application? Also does anyone know as to where I can find this flat bar so I can get my clutch linkage taken care of? Thanks Again guys for the info!

does this help,, ( sorry a bit dirty under the hood right now). The first picture is what was on it when I put the motor in, had the flat bar and ball and didn't line up. I changed it and then had to modify and reweld the bottom arm of the Z-bar that goes to the clutch arm, or it would have hit the back exhaust header.

Here are the pics. I'm sorry for the quality but it's pretty cramped under there. I have a 350 with ram horn exhaust manifolds (as you can see).

Looks like you need that metal plate that the ball stud screw into. My z-bar is straight across.

In your pictures I think the stud on the outside of the frame bracket has flats on it that are supposed to line up with the notch in the bracket behind it. It should slide in there then tighten it up so it can't slide up and out of the bracket. You might want to check that out.

Thanks LockDoc. I've fixed it once before. When I got the truck it was extremely loose too. A PO put a manual in the truck so I can't really assume it was done right anyway.
