Centered in the dash? If running a single speaker, you can put a 4x6 plate in there. I am using two 4" co-ax speakers. I made a wooden frame that the speakers mount to and will mount that to the dash.

I did this too in my 65 to get a little "stereo" affect.

My Kickers are damn nice and were only $30 on ebay. Another option (and would sound even better) is mount a pair of these bad boys:

Is there any way to mount a pair of these in the doors?

The Classic Parts speakers look just like the ones I bought for my '69 Camaro made by Ken Harrison. http://www.oldcaraudio.net/index.html

I am putting a tweeter in the door, and a 6.5 in the kick panel.

I didn't want to cut my doors. The pod fits above the window crank. I will wrap the door panel in vinyl once I get my seats.

<edit> You could fit them just about anywhere in the door depending on what you are doing with the rest of the door. I've only ever used plates high in the dash, but you could put these where Dino put the rear door speakers in the burb.

That's sweet but I don't have the fabrication skills for that. I was thinking of cutting my doors, making it look really kick ass and make a leather cover of sorts to make the speakers tie into the door, like they are suppose to be there. I'm also going to sound insulate the doors really good to help with road noise and make whatever speaker system I install sound better.

Just run a strip of peel and seal on the inside of the door (the inside of the outside skin if that makes sense) behind the speaker. In my Toyota, I just made a thin wooden ring and sandwiched it between the speaker and the metal door. Worked awesome, but I would use something like a 6.5" coax in the bottom of the door.

You could also make a wood panel about 1/4" thick that matches the bottom kick plate on the door. Wrap it in carpet and mount the speaker with grill to it. Quick, easy, looks awesome.

i just ordered 4" speakers for the center... and am planing on putting 5 1/4 components in the kick panels... i plan on making fiber glass ones simliar to jimmy dean. i decided to go with 5 1/4 because i wanted to stick with jvc arsenal so they match my head unit and i couldnt afford the larger ones lol

Hey, those looks nice. My whole setup is a mismatch of what I think is best for price/budget/location on my particular setup.

I'll add everything to the build thread when I get to install anything.
