power steering hose question
 
what do I do about the power steering hose the engine is ls1 the steering box is 1980 c10.

Use the stock lines off your LS1 pump and the cut and reflare the lines with the ASE/ stock gear box fittings.

Mine were not stock hoses either. I had o-ring fittings on the box end and a flare fitting on the pump end. I never did figure out exactly what I had...none of the local auto parts suppliers could figure it out, and we searched through many hoses on their shelves trying to find a fit. I finally found a shop here locally that makes custom hydraulic hoses, mainly for tractors, and they made me a custom hose that was exactly what I needed.

Pull the relief valve out of the original pump on the truck it should be a flare fitting. Install it in the new pump Use a stock 80 model pressure hose. Jay

that would work great if I were using truck accessories! I have a camaro ps pump
