a/c in crew cabs
ok guys with crew cabs- is the factory a/c up to the job in your crew cab trucks? i have a chance to trade one of my jeeps for a '89 crew cab one ton 2wd. i have all the stuff to 4wd drive it from a m1008 chevy 5/4 army truck. it just looks like a lot of cab to cool with the factory a/c. i was thinking buckets & console in the front & maybe an aux evap unit under the console for the rear. thanks!

Mine is cold, I sit in the front, so I can't speak for the back. Jay

If you are doing buckets, etc I would suggest spend a few bucks on sound deadner and insulation while your there. That will make a big difference in interior noise and heat.

Re: a/c in crew cabs
I tried to talk Joe in to taking all the rear A/C stuff from my parts suburban and put it in his crew, but he didn't want to.
I'd think it could be done somehow someway. |

Re: a/c in crew cabs
My AC doesn't work in my crew. I drive around with the windows down. Not too bad, but probably not as humid in SoCal as in Miss.
I'll throw another vote in for sound deadener. When the time comes I'm going to lizardskin everything. |
