1 ton to 1/2 ton 2wd spindle question
 

im converting a 1989 chevy crew cab into a half ton anyone know if the spindle from the 1/2ton donor truck will fit in the place of the 1ton spindle?

ECE makes a conversion spindle to do exactly what you want to do.

You could also swap out your upper balljoint and outer tie rod ends.
You need to swap lower balljoints also,... but that will require you to change the lower a-arms to the 1/2 ton version.
(they have a smaller ball joint hole)

This will allow you to use off the shelf 73-87 drop spindles or oem stock spindles.
