4wd Shock Questions
I have a few questions about shocks that I could not answer from searching the forums...
How can you test a shock off of the vehicle? (should it fully extend after I compress it by hand?) Need opinions...What are the best shocks for a lifted 4wd? (I currently have the rough country shocks that came with my lift kit and personally dont think they are all that great, but this is the only 4wd I've had so I dont know how other brands compare) Do the quad shock setups for the 4wd square bodies make that much of a difference over the standard 2 front shock setup? |

Re: 4wd Shock Questions
Ive heard good things about the rancho shocks, as they have the rubber boot around them and dont rust as easily as the rough countyr ones

Re: 4wd Shock Questions
My truck has some ranchos on it that look like theyve been there a long time and they are still in decent shape and the ride is pretty good. When I upgrade them at some point I'll probably go with bilstein. I had a rough country lift on a jeep and I have nothing good to say about any of it, one of the rear leafs sagged almost 3 inches a month after install and the shocks were rotted out in a year.
