pcv valve ?
 

i have a 327 in my 67 pickup. the pcv valve is in the valley pan. i would like to know if it is possible to move it to the valve cover like later model trucks. i would like to make it easier to change if i have to. if it is possible is it worth the trouble.

yes, you can convert it. Just take the 90 degree fitting out/with long bolt,& drive the proper size welch plug in the hole. Then just replace valve covers,& pcv. ...69 longhorn.

remember pcv on 1 corner breather on the opposite corner of valve covers for proper venting

yup its a peice of cake....I did it with intake off, but it can be done either way

Where did the inlet air come from on the 67's? On my 66 327 it was down the oil filler tube. The cap was a press-in breather. If the 67's were the same then you would probably have to remove and plug the filler pipe when you switch to the breather and pcv valve on the valve covers.

One other thing, isn't the actual PCV valve screwed into the back side of the carb. The only thing in the lifter valley would be an oil baffle which wouldn't need changing.

da-burb you were right the pcv valve is on the back of the carb i just found it i thought it was part of the hose on the back of the carb. i am switching to an ebelbrock intake so i am losing the filler tube anyway. thanks everybody for the input.
