wtd about throttle cable on swap
 
i put a 99 5.3 in my 84 shortbox. what do i do about the throttle cable? is there a kit i can order or anything so it is a direct swap for the old cable?

You can run a LoKar kit. Check with the guys in our LSx forum to see what they are running.

Lokar Throttle cables that are available for that applacation are as follows.
TC-1000LS1 that is braided stainless steel housing with aluminum ends
TC-1000LS1U that is a smooth black housing
XTC-1000LS1 that is a black stainless steel housing with black anodized fittings.
Lokar also has a bezal washer part # 1031 that will cover the square hole in the firewall.
