Can you repair the wire? Where is it broken at?

If it's broken off right at the top of the sender, you can CAREFULLY solder a new ground wire onto it.

just remove it and solder it back on.

You could hose clamp the wire to one of your outlets. Alittle steel wool to make a good connection. I also have about 6 spares if you are running 25 gallon saddle tanks. I am not using them anymore. I am in the middle of putting 31 gallon suburban tank in. Just a thought.

Lol, been there done THAT! But see I have an 87, with the electric pump. Was doing cab corners one day and went to start and move the truck. Nothing. Found that broken wire right at the darn tab. Fearful of gas and soldering, I took a blue electrical connector, crimped it on the wire. Then I took a small sheet metal screw, screwed it onto the sender tab. Nice and solid, hasn't been a problem since!
