Interior of a 67-68 truck...anyone show me?
 

got the spring feever so I thought I'd redo my interior a little. Anyone have a picture of a 67 whole dash for a truck? I even have the small knobs that I am going to put back on (took years to collect one at a time). Any pics would be appreciated.

Whats the color on your interior there Trinic? is that gunmetal grey? that color is sweet!!!! I painted some extra 67/68 fender bowties that color, they look awesome too! nice interior!

I don't know the exact name of the color, since
I purchased the truck already painted. I would
say it's close to the gun metal or maybe the
newer chevy pickup charcoal grey (a bit lighter).

A/C interior
 

Hey-what type of A/C unit is that on the pic? I know it is aftermarket, but what kind? I have a '67 Chevy, the previous owner had cut the dash up pretty bad to install a stereo so I replaced the entire dash with one from a '69 A/C cab that was damaged. I now have all the necessary holes in the dash for A/C but the rest of my cab is still non-A/C. I was thinking of installing an aftermarket A/C and running the ductwork to the openings in the "new" A/C dash. Anyone ever done this or installed an aftermarket A/C package, if so, what type and any suggestions on the process?

that should be a sanderson pump. they come stock on chry
*sler products. jeeps have them too. i would get one from a 4 cylender jeep so you won't lose that much hp when you kick on the a/c. you will have to do alot of cutting to install factory a/c. go aftermarket an route the hoses to the outlets on the dash. much easier.

Common '67-'68 interior color was called Fawn, or "Silver Fawn Irridescent." It's a grayish silver with gold hints. My '68 pickup and my '67 Sub both were factory produced with this same color. Both also came from the Fremont Calif. plant.
I just mail ordered a spray can of it from The Paddock so I can resto my steering wheel.

actually gave me info cause I was thinking going the A/C route myself. I do have a couple questions about your interior.

Are the knobs on the dash from 67-68? I do have smaller knobs than that but I do have a complete set the same size as yours too. Also, Is that stock carpet you have. I really like it! It looks like it will hold up well. Whole thing looks great.

The smaller knobs with the knurled edges are 67 only and correct for that year.

Also 67 had 2 style dashes both of which are pictured. The early 67 did not have provisions for recessed cig lighter or ignition, later 67 did. Take a close look at Trinic's truck, it is the early style, and 68CST327's is the later style used thru 72 (notice his has bezel around cig lighter).

I use early vs late in my description but I'm not sure the real reason. Perhaps large window vs small window?

Other oddities are:

Ashtray is slightly different though you'd have to have both side-by-side to tell and the door handle and window cranks are different yet similar as well.

I have a complete interior for the early 67 including chrome centered knurled knobs for lights, choke,, wiper, radio, and cig lighter, CST-style horn button, 67 crank and door latches, cst buckets, etc. Unfortunately the cab is stripped and all that suff is in boxes, so I can't take a pic.

None of this stuff adds any value but I like knowing it's 100% 67 anyway.

They dont get much simpler than this, no ac, radio or cig lighter, this is one truck that I am actually looking forward to putting in a new dash pad.

knobs?? not sure if they are 67 or 68. the carpet
was replaced by an upholstery place (they did the
panels, seats, etc as well). Looks like you could
go eithier way as far as knobs...they both look
great. CPNE posted great info......
