i lowered a 75 SWB by using lowering shackles and removing a couple of leafs. it was not as low as some of the baggers but it looked lowered and i could drive it. i got lowering spindles and springs for the front nice and easy fairly enexpensive and it was a great daily driver...

Buy new leaf springs with drop built in them; available at all the usual places.
