C35 blues

Sorry guys but i'm just at the end of my rope with trying to buy parts for my truck.

First i sent my $1000 to sport truck to get my 6/8 western drop and only recived shocks an spindals (beltech ones at that) so got screwed.

Found a member on another board with rear hangers and shackle set for a good price shipped to my door (jumped all over it) waited and waited and waited for the item to come (almost 2 months) finaly got pissed and called canada post/customs devision the package is no longer attached to the parts (other words stolen or "misplaced") got screwed again (disclaimer this is not the shippers fault and i do not blame him)

So now i'm down a crap load of money and have NO parts or Dropped truck to show for it!

I'm at whits end and thinking of selling the truck as it's becoming more of a head ache than it's worth.

I'm sorry to rant i'm just tired and can't seem to get a head.

Thanks Dru "1tonchevy"

I guess I don't understand how the parts disappear in shipping. Can't they be traced? Can you file a claim?

So contacted the shipper (great guy to deal with) when hes back home he will pay pal me my money back and launch his investigation. luckily for him he did insure it and will not loose out on his items. but still this saddens me that we can't even trust customs.

lol well it was worth a try. This whole shipping thing sucks for us Canadian individuals. We need to move state side were trucks are plentifull and in good condition.

I think he means avalanche.

Just get a PO box in the states, order everything to it, then go over and get it your self. If it's something big have it installed there (labours cheaper there afterall) and cross the border with it on the truck.

Thats how the previous owner got the rims and tires on my truck. What would've cost him $2500-$3000 here cost him $1700 there.

the last time I payed my po box rental I had to show ID because they want o make sure you live in the area of your post office

so my sugestion would to get a mail box at a store that ships stuff
also we have storage unit/ drop ship places at the boarder where you rent a small storage unit and have stuff shipped there and the people there lock up your items in your storage box untill you come get them

I talked with a guy that sold engines in canada he had the engiens shipped there then he'd come down and pick them up he told me he was saving any where from 200 to 1000 an engine depending on what it was

I can believe it.

It's been quiet a few years since I've had a PO box in the states so I didn't know about the ID, my aunt and uncle live across the border from me, so I just ship to them now, and they bring it across. It cost me nothing and I don't even have to go over to get it anymore. Plus because they are bring it over, theres no duty.
