How to deal with torsion bars on a 62
Hello All Im preparting to tear down the frame of my 62 as part of my restoration and not sure how to deal with the torsion bar front end suspension. SHould these be removed (like everything else) prior to sandblasting the frame, or shoule I just leave them as is and blast them as well? Doesnt seem right to me to leave them there, but also I have no idea how to remove them (or better yet put them back!). SOrry if this is a stupid question and I thank you in advance for your help. If they are to be removed, Id appreciate the steps involved to remove and then put them pack.
Best regards, Mark |

I haven't done a GM tortion bar but I've done a ton of Mopar. At one end of the tortion bat the will be an adjuster for the ride height. That needs to be backed off and then the suspension raised to unload any weight. The tortion bar should slide out with more brut forse. They will hang up
