Re: Orange Crush: 1970 cst 4x4 to 2wd

i just got back from Fairfield. i purchased a 1970 short bed step side that was on CL ,it turns out the truck is a CST with new interior / tilt tach, no rust hugger orange. fully loaded -A/C. I GOT A SCREAMING DEAL ON THE TRUCK. i ran the vin and model number, it turns out the truck is from the Fremont plant ,and it looks like it was a second owner truck. i'll bring it home next weekend. i just need to bolt it back together. it looks like someone was restoring it and then stored it . new interior , carpet, head liner all CST badges, uncut dash, i can't get over how cool this truck is. this one is right up there with some of my best barn finds.... i'll post some pictures when get it home and inventoried.:ito:

The seats turned out great. Can you send me the info on the upholstery shop in Grass Valley? I have a set of buddy buckets that I want to update and I don't want to use the last place that I went to.
Nice score on the tach dash.

got some new parts for Orange Crush. This blazer is headed down even lower then I planned. purchased a complete rolling chassis to use all the parts on the blazer. we're going low low low!

Looks great! Subscribed! Did you sandblast and then powder coat the axle (in post #2)? Or did you paint it? If you painted, what did you use?

hey there sorry for the delayed reply, to answer your question on the rear end. i sand blasted it clean and primed it with Rustollium industrial paint , then painted it with the satin black Rustollium . both paints where purchased at Home Depot by the gallon. you're looking at $25.00 a gallon , now thats a killer deal. i started using it on frames, wheel wells, you name just an all around solid paint and very easy to use.
