Any opinions on Tuff Country springs?

I have a broken front leaf spring on my plow truck. They want $350 just for replacement leaf springs. I see a 2" lift for $245 or a 4" for $300 and add $340 for the rear springs if I decide to change out the entire lot. Prices are all over the place for the various brands. These prices are out of 4Wheel and Off Road mag, Suspension Connection is the seller.

I've got Tuff Country 2 inch on my 67 and 68 no problems here.:D

Offroad design is listing there Tuff Country springs at 215.00 for 2"3"4" ez ride kits and 225.00 for 2"3"4"6" heavy duty kits, I would suggest heavy duty for a plow truck, I just bought a set of 2-1/2" skyjacker springs for 220.00 and thats without u bolts or bushings, I always have a local spring shop make my u bolts, they have a rolled thread instead of cut like you get with most kits.
Heres there link http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/TuffCountry.htm

I have their 2" HD springs in the front of my K25. Bought them from ORD paid $225 included bushings and u-bolts (front only). They ride good I also added ORD's 1/2" longer HD shackles.

I've been using Tuff Country for a long time and never had any problems. Get the heavy duty.

Thanks, will do.

If it were me...

I would go with a used 4" Tuff Country EZ ride system with all four leaf springs, a raised steering arm, shocks and U-bolts included.
But only if a semi-local guy would deliver them to my house this Saturday for less than $500...:D  :D

da-burb 03-20-2003 05:24 PM

Who would that be???

Hey, I have heard good things about Chris H!

Da-burb,
I am not certain, but I think Chris H might have a lift kit for sale... He doesn't live too far from you I think.

Let's see, less than $500 for a complete lift kit delivered to your door? Hard to beat an offer like that!

That Chris H guy must be crazy!

Good Luck,
not Chris H:burnout:

not Chris H, you sound like you might know him pretty well. Then you know the "must be crazy" should read "is totally crazy" and is due to a breast feeding accident at the age of 18.

You...I mean he should bring everything with on Saturday just incase I soften. Call!

BLAZERMAN 03-20-2003 11:56 PM

dA-burb, the only difference between an ez ride and heavy duty Tuff Country spring is the addition of a short bottom leaf to the HD spring, Tuff Country will sell the leafs to make the change.
