Wiring Autometer Gauges....

Anyone using one of these kits to power their gauges? It looks like it would be fairly easy to install but where does the "plug" at the end connect to? Thanks in advance.

That is the only way to go when installing aftermarket gaugues IMO. The plug will conect to your senders, power and lighting on the truck side of things.

The Painless harness is great.

For a cost reduction alternative I have been looking at this one from Speedway Motors.

So behind my dash, those two plugs will just "plug and play" ? Is it universal for all cars and trucks?

No, you need to attach the supplied connectors/terminal ends to the existing truck gauge wires, and then pin/connect them to the corresponding wires on the large connector on the aftermarket harness. It is pretty simple, even for a non-wiring guy like myself.
