Towing with my 70 C10
 

Need to pull a car trailer loaded with my offroading jeep. The Jeep weighs around 3600lbs, trailer is my guess around 1000.
Going to get brakes on the trailer and controller put in the truck.
Pulls it ok, but sags a bit in the rear. What would be the best way to help it out a little? AirLift does not make air bags for the rear springs (this is a coil sprung truck), and I don't really like the idea of air shocks.

I will be pulling this regularly about every couple of weeks on a 160mi round trip.

Somebody makes air assist bags for these trucks I know. Another option is a set of GM factory overload leaves which were optional on coil spring trucks. Shifting the load reward combined with HD shocks and a load leveler type trailer hitch works well also and won't reduce your unloaded ride quality.

I added the factory over-load springs on my c10 and it helped tremendously. The best of both worlds would be the over-loads and an equalizer hitch. I started using one and it takes all the sway and helps move some of the weight up to the front of the truck.

Where can I get these overloads and what is involved in putting them on?
I have never noticed them on a truck in the salvage yard. Do I need different trailing arms or anything?
Anybody got some for sale?
