traction bar set up ?s

I have an 85 c10. I went from a 30x12.50 to a 28x10.50 tire and also a different offset wheel. I am going to do a spring under set up to lower the rear of my truck another 4-5 inches. These are the traction bars i have now:

Will these still work with a spring under set up?
IF not, Whats should a use?

Re: traction bar set up ?s

they should....might be alot closer to the ground tho...you could allways cut a couple inches out of the mounts and weld them back up.

And i believe a board vendor may carry them also.
I can say my 73 hooks hard enough to spin the wheel inside the tire.

I have custom made tracion bars. The front stopper is on the leaf not the mounting point.

Mine are also nice and tucked up on the leafs.

The design has a large U directly under the axel tube. The tube actually "hooks" by hitting the U. The U cradles the axel. I need to retake some pictures and post them.

x2 on the caltrac setup. My brothers truck hooks real hard with them. I believe lakewood also makes traction bars for our trucks with axles on top of the springs.

Forum Vendor Capt Kaos is a dealer for Cal-Tracs. Get with him for a good price and great service.

Here's the set-up I am running. First pic is them on another truck just because it's finished & mine isn't. The kit is from WFO Concepts - they are the shop building my truck. Mine is a 4x4, but they'd work as well on a 2WD version. Very nice set-up if you can do your own welding or know someone who can. Just a thought for you to consider.

Ditto. That looks clean! I dig how the upper link is adjustable.

Re: traction bar set up ?s

Yeah, I really liked the way it's built & the built-in adjustability. I had a set of CalTracs on my '07 Dodge Ram & they were pretty good as well. Think these are much better though in how they are built & designed - they're also a lot more unique. You can find these at: http://www.wfoconcepts.com/cr/Torque-Arms/4140/3857 if you're interested - or just call Trevor at the shop.

Uh-oh, think I see the flashing blue lights of the "thread police" coming up behind you.... CalTrac bars are pretty nice though - made my Ram 3500 ride & hook up much better overall.

Re: traction bar set up ?s

Yeah apparently! But yeah i like the look of that set up.. and it also looks like it would be pretty easy to build my own. I will be looking into that some more.
My neighbor just gave me the Ford 9" out of his 78 bronco, so now I'm trying to figure out what its going to take to put that in my truck and How much a gear set and Detroit is going to run me.

Cal-Tracs are the cat's a$$. Ride great on the street, easy to adjust. They're made for conventional or axle/spring flip, too.

Does anyone know anything about these ?
