Removing wheel wells?

Im working towards removing my wheel wells, and i think i might of bit off a little more then i could chew on this one. I have the wheel wells loose to were i can move them, but i cant for the life of my figure out how to get them out. and I dont really want to cut them.

I have my fender bolts so i have a little bit more room, still cant figure it out.

If any of you guys have some experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I always removed my fenders with the wheel wells. It's more work to get everything lined back up, but if you replacing them, you can also paint up in inside of your fender this way.

Don't think you can do it without taking off your fender. Take the fender off it will come right out! Good luck.

theres three under the radiator support bout 8 right inside the fender(where the tire is ) then two on the back the bolt to the fire wall and i would take the tire off to get the inner fender off

Re: Removing wheel wells?

There are a lot of hidden bolts. There are 3 9/16 inch bolts. One on top of the fender near the hood hinges. One in the upper door jamb, and one on the bottom of the fender on the back side near the door hinges. Then there are like 8 or 9 1/2 inch ones along the front. That's bout it. Open your door a bit so the fender can wiggle out. Watch the front near the bumper it's easy to scratch the paint. Good luck.

You do not need to pull the fender to get the inner one out. Just make suer you have it all unbolted, the tire off and just wiggle it in and out and you got it ! I did it with out taking the fender off.

Listen to this guy. I pulled mine yesterday and didn't fool with the fenders. Take the front wheel off and it will drop right out.

They are correct. you DO NOT need to pull the whole fender off. I just gave my opinion for why pulling the fender is a good idea. If you don't want to. Just remove the tire and take out the inner well as stated above.

Lot's of different size bolts and screws. Just make sure everything on top of the inner fender is disconnected. But it comes right out. Just replaced the RF inner fender on mine. No need to remove the fender.

Re: Removing wheel wells?

I've never had an issue getting them out, seems they usually fall out once all the bolts are removed. I seem to have more issues getting them back in, but it is really not that big of a challenge to do. No way do you have to remove the fenders to get the wheelhouse in and out.
