WTB - steel wheels for 6 lug 68 C10
 

I am looking for a set of 15" steel wheels for my latest addition. :metal: I brought her home yesterday and just with a bath she looks 100% better. The chalky white stuff you see on the sides is gone and about 1/8" of green moss in places.. It had been sitting as you see it for 3 yrs. We put a new battery and some fresh gas in it and it fired right up. The brakes are down on it right now but it can be driven with the emergency brake. .. just around the driveway of course.

Let me know if you guys might have some, or know of some and $. The spare is good, I just need 4. I can have them blasted and re-painted / powder coated that's ok too. Just looking for four good straight ones, 8" if they're out there ... ? the spare is a 6, or 6.5" .. not sure. I'm good even with 6's.

Before (Now) and hopefully After (PS) Not sure on the door logo.. just playing around with it. It's going to be built 'on the cheap' just to drive to swap meets etc. The SPID shows originally dark blue but I belive it has had one repaint sometime in it's life. .. guessing mid 80's or so. The paint is starting to get a little thin and flaky in places but I think overall it's going to be a good one. I gave $1300 for it. It has a muncie 4 speed in it. Pretty cool old stepper.

I may have a set of 4 8" rallys (6 lug) nice paint in the comming weeks (looking for 5 lug rearend)..

Like PLAIN steel wheels, or rallys or what? There a dime a dozen here I can find ya a set if your willing to make the drive to come get them...

I need to know what to look for..

Just 6 lug steel wheels like you'd see with hubcaps (?) Like came on the C10's originally, but maybe 8" if they exist? Not sure how to explain it.

Are the Titan wheels what some guys are using now? I have seen a few trucks around with just plain steel wheels powder coated. Theyre is a sweet frost green one on the forum with them on it. .. several small holes around the parameter of the wheel? I'll see if I can find the pic.

Then I have to buy 18" tires though .. sigh.

I know you can use FJ cruiser wheels (TCB is running/WAS running them on his green stepside).

Jmodero - I'd be interested to see what you have. I'm looking for some I can blast and paint / pc what I call 'Chinese Red'. A.k.a Indian Red I think. As long as they're staight. What do you need to get for them? Are they 6's or 8's? I know the 8's are rare.

Any pics out there with Titan / FJ wheels?

I just got an all original 68 Truck in yesterday and may be able to help you. I could swear I have 5 lug though but I will check. Congratulations on a great find on your new truck.

I would need them shipped to 37379 btw, the shipping might be a deal breaker really. We can just see overall what you guys would need to get for them.

I have a set of 4 steel wheels off at 2006 Titan. $125. They are 17" and will work fine. I'm in Clarksville Tn.
