Questions about Phantom Grilles?
I think the Phantom grilles are growing on me too(Low87). My friend ordered one from US auto parts(Truckin' mag.) and I didn't like it. It has vertical stiffening bars right in front of his headlights(WTF?). The bottom mounts didn't line up with his holes either. I wasn't impressed at all. I see at least 3 different brands of Phantoms for our trucks- Trenz, T-Rex, Carriage works. I would love to know what you guys are using and how do you mount it at the bottom?

I don't have a phantom grille, but my billet grille is made by Stull. It is first class quality too. Stull makes phantom's.

I dont have a clue on mine but what mike said is right on as usual. Stull is nice stuff!!
Usually Trenz is pretty good stuff too. |
Dave--->How did yours mount to the bottom part?
|
Since I dont have the chrome trim around mine it has 2 tabs welded to the backside of the front roll pan and they screw into that. :)

I have a regular Trenz grille. It's pretty nice!

I used a Trenz grille in my Suburban and like it alot. Nice quality and the holes on the mounting tabs lined up perfectly with the stock mounting holes. Stull is another high quality item. Ken

I have to say Carriage Works is top notch stuff. I haven't ever gotten one of their grilles, but I have bought other stuff from them.

I forget who made mine but the tabs didnt line up and were bent wrong, I guess you get what you pay for

I bought my regular billet grill from Summit years ago. It fits perfect and I've been very happy with it. Not sure of the manufacturer or if it was sold as Summit house brand. Only paid $100 for it.
