Re: 57 Chevy just picked it up
sounds like a good time to put in a LS type motor. Better milage, more HP. You can get a low milage pull out with everything on it (tranny and all) for around 1500. 300 to get the harness cut and comp. reflashed. and your good to go. Just lettin you know that's what I would do, but it's your truck. We're here to help you which ever way you go.

Re: 57 Chevy just picked it up
Don't get discouraged with the occasional bad news. It happens. If it were easy, EVERYBODY would do it.
My parts list grows every single day too. Just keep at it. Have a good plan and don't let yourself get trapped into breaking the truck down too far. I've seen lots of guys tear a truck apart that only needed a few things and wind up with a garage full of parts (not that YOU would), it's happened to me! Can get demotivating. Good Luck. |
Re: 57 Chevy just picked it up
Thanks guys yeah I got a little bummed out but remembered what I payed for it so I'm still in good shape would love to do a motor swap but I just picked up everything for this motor so don't want to waist any cash and I know what you mean about breaking it down to far been there done that once before I just need to find a block or see if this one can be fixed it's only time! Thanks Guys
