Welded heavy square tubing between frame rails, then welded receiver tube to that. Bent up box for winch & put into receiver, then built bumper around it. Winch box held in place by receiver pin & 5/8 grade 8 bolt on each side that screws into weld nuts into the bumper tubing.
Works great - as you can see by the scratched & mud its been used & abused. I have been against a tree pulling with the winch, hard enough that the winch quits pulling & the bumper has never budged! |

So you can remove the whole thing with a pull of the pin?

Slick setup! That's alot cleaner than the regular receiver style mounts that you see. Are you using those quick connects for the cables too? Man I like that setup!

Yeah it has quick connects, but just use a welding cable quick connector for the hot & it grounds itself since all connected to the frame. |
