I had them on my truck and took them off. they was mostly to be legal while i drove it to a car show, i was able to see through them a little but the vibration of the truck does make it blurry so I wouldnt use them for much lol.

I can answer that.. not much!

You have to be an alert driver and be sure not to have too much stuff in the back of the truck that will obstruct your view. Also you have to look out for "blind spot campers".

The one good thing about these trucks (except for 67 small window) is that they have excellent view all around.

Can you see pretty good with the round mirrors on your jimmy?

I had a set on my 56 and you cannot see squat out of them..

Re: peep mirrors

I had them on my 65 when I first got it running, they were primarily for legal and because they were cheap at a swap meet.

I couldnt see much out of them and small window cabs are hard enough to see out of anyway. I have the stock mirrors now and I am thinking about putting the large square mirror heads on mine.

Damn! I LOVE em!
I ran Peep Mirrors on my 67 (and now my 72).
Never had a problem with them, except in the very beggining,
I had to train myself to look "UP" at it, instead of down as with a regular mounted side mirror.
Now granted, I don't Tow, Haul or have a Camper, but I am not aware of any "Blind Spots".
I run one on the Drtivers Side only,
and have never had a problem with Law Enforcment or the CHP.
I lived in Nor Cal and am now down in SO Cal, without any problems.
I have no vibration on my Peep Mirror, whatsoever.

GO FOR IT!:metal:

Same here, never had regular mirrors, but my peeps work fine for me.

Re: peep mirrors

I put one on the drivers side of my K20 when I had my large mirrors at the powder coaters getting all the arms done.

I think it was almost worthless, but I can see if you have them for awhile you can work with them.

Wwotr, not tobash you but in your pics theres not a single car in the background, youd be hard pressed around here to get pics like that.Like said I have one on the drivers side but drive mostly in the rear view and over the right shoulder. In heavy traffic they are just about useless.More cosmetic then practical.

My father had them on his 47 fat fender well all that it takes is one time to clip a person another car or on the freeway and a semi your done Its called a safety device If you clip some one and they make a big enough stink about it CHP or the mounties will impound your car or truck for being unsafe. Bad new's for my father he was pulling into a parking lot did not see the fire hydrant well lets just say 4500.00 for the rear quarter Panel

1970 Bowtie,
These pictures were taken in a small rural area I used to live in. But actually the "Road" behind me is Hwy29. Now I can see your point with there not being as much Traffic in a rural area. In November, my Wife and I moved to Palm Desert (15 miles East of Palm Springs). Now I deal with Hwy10 that stretches from LA to New Mexico. The streets were I live arr 3 lanes in each direction with a Speed Limit of 50MPH.
After 5 months, I have not had 1 problem in driving, changing lanes,or seeing any obsticles.;)
