I just got the wheels back from the tire shop and put them on. What a difference changed the whole look of the truck.

The caps are the ones off the truck. I had them rechromed and then I painted them. I'm doing the side emblems now and should have them by the end of the week.

Trying to get all the shinny stuff shinny again. The moulding is polishing out pretty good but the bumper and grill need some work. I found some better door handles I'll get a new rear bumper this weekend since the one on there now is a big step bumper that sticks out 2 feet and weighs at least 100 lbs.

Yes it is amazing what a set of wheels and tires will do for the look of a car or truck. Those do look nice.

Hey Surfdaddy, what is the diameter of the hub caps you used, what year are they , and how many clips does it take to keep them on. I am thinking of using something simalar, (1955-1959 gmc caps on 15" rallyes with rectangular slot) budget minded but the hub cap must be very small diameter. I think 7" would be max......any help would be appreciated. Your truck looks nice. Kieth :gmc2:

These are the stock caps on the orig stock wheels. I'll look today on how many tabs hold the cap on but I seem to think it's 4 and I'll check the diameter. I looked at the 59 cap and they look very close to the 60 -61 style with only paint being the difference. At first search I found new caps but they were somethng like 250 each (Yieks!!!) I'm sure they are around but I just rechromed the ones I had.
