Master cylinder tilted down in front

I replaced the master cylinder on my 72 GMC 4X4 yesterday and noticed my master cylinder is tilted down in the front. I never paid any attention to it before. Is this normal? It looks like everything is mounted correctly. I would guess it's about 1/2" lower in the front. Normal?

Yes... It's normal. There's been discussion in the past as to the reason GM made them this way. My theory is that they expected the trucks to be used for hauling and the extra weight in the back would tilt the m.c. to the proper angle???

I was thinking it was because of the incredible power in GM trucks, they leaned it down so the fluid would level out under such incredible acceleration! :metal:(it's a theory). Thanks!
