Progress on my 81 chevy long bed...
Well guys, after finally making some headway with my truck I thought it was time I formally introduced her:
I had been searching craigslist for months for a cheap c10 to build/have fun with, I finally came across an ad listing a 1981 chevy c10 long bed for $1200 with no pictures just a number. I thought "hey it cant hurt, ill give them a call and check it out." After a few minutes on the phone I went and met up with the owner and looked the truck over, it was rough but knew as soon as I saw it it was mine. I told him id be back tomorrow to look it over better as it was late. So I go back the next day, drive it around and talk cash with the owner...$800 later she was mine. How she looked the day I brought her home. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...05-10_1604.jpg Passenger side door handle/mirror/lock shaved: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...29-10_1904.jpg Driver side not so shaved: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...05-10_1921.jpg After getting it running decent enough, cleaning up the engine bay and finally having a few bucks to spend on her I got her to this point: Got the driver side fully shaved: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...07-10_1125.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...-10_1131v2.jpg Starting the bodywork: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...-10_1128v2.jpg Traded my stock and buckets for these: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...31-10_1827.jpg Finally bought and installed a rollpan: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...10-10_1153.jpg So I drove her like this for a few more months then got the chance to get her in primer: Painted the buckets to match the body: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...2511184251.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...heel15/yee.jpg And that is where she sits today. I have another hood in better condition already primed ready to be bolted on, just been lazy. She still has a ways to go but im super happy with how things are coming along. Thanks to this forum for all the help and knowledge! |

Theyre white lettered toyos that were shaved to fat whitewalls.
