Suburban frame same as truck frame?

Were the 47-53 suburban frames the same as one of the truck frames?

Yes except the Suburbans and Panels have 4 extra body mounts riveted to the frame.

Yep, rails, suspension, the whole thing. As said above 4 extra body mounts but they wouldn't be hard to fabricate. Just flat stock and a break and you'd be in like Flynn.

Fuel tank is moved so there may be some mounts there you'd have to update.

plus the panels and burbs had extension piece on rear of frame for the bumper, also the panels and burbs used a front bumper on the rear as they had no dip in them.

I think it is more that the Panel/burb rear panel matches the front bumpers rather then being squared off like the box of trucks.
