Re: Welding bucket seats in help needed
It helps if you tell/show us what kind of seats you have. I have factory buckets in my 73, everything bolted in perfectly, no welding.

Jeff
The seats are out of a volvo The outside track on the seats will bolt up To where the bench seat holes are the enter track on the seats are where Im have the problems The way the floor board is made it will need something built up so the track of the seat can bolt to sorry I have no way to take pictures :waah: Jeff M |
Re: Welding bucket seats in help needed
I laid some 1x2 sq tube down that went across the cab just behind and in front of the stock mounting holes then welded tabs to the tubes so I could bolt it down to the cab floor as if it was astock beanch seat. then bolted the bucket seats to the tube frame along with the center cousle that I made. the seats I used where out of an import car so they were low and by adding the inch of the frame I could see over the dash.
Id show you pictures but that truck is long gone and I dont think I took any pictures of the seats or the inside of it |
