Making sound when fan is on
 
My 84 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 started making a whining sound when i was driving it home tonight and it freaked me out as i though it was the transmission but then i turned off the fan and the sound stopped. I tuned it on and off a few times and its defiantly only happening when the fan is on.

Im assuming this means i need a new blower motor? And im assuming its bolted/screwed to the firewall somewhere near the glove box?

Something stuck in it? Had to pull a dead mouse out of my Father's DD after a friend of his left food in the truck...

Here is a picture of my truck. You can see the blower motor on the top of the firewall on the passenger side.

yup about 4-5 bolts
couple of wires
and a slight tug(to break the goo seal)

i've seen the motor housing bent from ppl leaning on it?
there is a weeping hole under the edge of the housing make sure it's cleared...
lol i've seen pics of some nasty cridders,there, in pics sent back from Afgan.....be happy if it's a mouse
