Cowboy bumpers
3 Attachment(s)
So I've been toying around with different ideas for a front bumper, and came up with these three. What do y'all like best? I like the last one best personally, but I think the first one would look good without the lights. I don't know.

Re: Cowboy bumpers
If I had to choice I would go with the last one just me though.

Re: Cowboy bumpers
The first one, but put the lights in the bumper.
|
Re: Cowboy bumpers
I like the second one but agree with Pyrotechnic, put the light's in bumber on which ever one you choose.
|
Re: Cowboy bumpers
^ I agree, but with round lights..
|
Re: Cowboy bumpers
I like the second one if that white part was gray too.
What are the slots in the third one? Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Cowboy bumpers
Are you making provisions for a winch?
|
Re: Cowboy bumpers
No, no winch provisions. I'm gonna do a rear winch if I ever get one. The slots aren't really for anything, I just kinda liked the way they looked. I don't like the look of rounds in the bumper, but I'll draw it up with some rectangle fogs or something after school today. Thanks for the opinions guys

Oh, I really like that grill guard:) Don't really like the center lights though...I'm gonna see what I can do with that. Thanks for the input man.

What I like about mine, is that it gives me somewhere to stand while I work under the hood, which can be a little tricky on a lifted truck.

Alright, this is what I ended up with after moving things around for awhile. Opinions? The smaller part of the grill guard is 1x right now, thinking about changing it to 2x...Just looks kinda weird.

Re: Cowboy bumpers
i would step it up to 1.5 or 2x for the outer and 2.5 or 3x for the main hoop just depends on preference i geuss.

Re: Cowboy bumpers
This is a custom one done by the PO of my truck, if it gives you any ideas:
http://hphotos-snc6.fbcdn.net/200957..._6643377_o.jpg - welded hollow bars - platform for standing, ~1' wide - 3/8" thick steel all around - receiver hitch behind license plate - winch compatible - mounted turn signals |
Re: Cowboy bumpers
Doesn't that block your lights?
Kinda like it though. |
Re: Cowboy bumpers
Looks really tough, too big and bulky for me though. I want something clean and mean looking.

Re: Cowboy bumpers

here's the new one without a brushgaurd yet, keep in mind I have a 3" body lift that I'm covering with mine so it may look a little tall. http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...329111228a.jpg http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...329111508a.jpg http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...8a95304212.jpg and here's the one I built 5 years ago on the truck http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...s/PICT0442.jpg oh yeah and matching rear that I just built and installed http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...317110956a.jpg http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...6111857d-1.jpg http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/...316111857a.jpg nice desighs so far |
Re: Cowboy bumpers
Front looks good but that rear is sweet looking! I'd love to put something like that on a newer truck when I get one.

Re: Cowboy bumpers
i know a buisness that make these bumpers they look great for old style trucks but very pricey.I really likw the one andrew put i would do that one but the one you have looks good to im just not a fan of the big square in the middle maybe you should put lights in the actual bumper.
